Job summary

Avery Healthcare is seeking a warm, dedicated Senior Care Assistant - Nights at Esher Manor Care Home in Surrey. You will join a close-knit team, delivering compassionate personal care and supporting residents during night shifts.

As part of our award-winning team, you’ll monitor wellbeing, participate in monthly evaluations, and collaborate with colleagues and health professionals to ensure safe, dignified care. DBS check and UK work eligibility are required.

Qualifications

• NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes.
• 2 years’ experience in a similar care environment.
• Strong communication skills.
• Positive, flexible attitude.
• Able to cover night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high standards of personal care to residents.
• Support the care team and implement care plans.
• Monitor wellbeing of residents and update records.
• Assist with medication in line with policy.
• Be a key point of contact for residents, relatives, and staff.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Your focus as a Senior Care Assistant will be tosupportand work alongside the Care team to deliver high standards of personal care, providing a safe, caring, innovative, open,supportive, andinclusiveenvironment for residents, visitors and staff.

• Monitoringthe wellbeing of each resident, being aware of any changeimpactingon care and care plans, ensuring that new needs aremet,and written records are amended to reflect any variation.
• Beinginvolved in the person-centred care planning process, by implementing,monitoring,and undertaking monthly evaluations.
• Supporting residents with their medication requirements.
• Undertaking staff supervisions and supporting staff with their development where required.
• Acting as a key point for contact with residents, their relatives and visitors, as well as health and social care professionals involved in their wellbeing, ensuring that any reasonable requests are acted upon, and concerns or complaints are escalated.

• Have an NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes.
• Have 2 years’ experience working in similar care environment.
• Have the ability tocommunicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Have a positive attitude to bothsupporting and nurturing residents and staff.
• Bereponsive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities.
