Job summary

At Avery Healthcare, we’re recruiting a warm Senior Care Assistant - Nights to join Acacia Mews Care Home in Hatfield. You’ll support the care team to deliver high standards of personal care in a safe, respectful and inclusive environment for residents, visitors and staff.

Your role includes monitoring resident wellbeing, assisting with medication, and supervising junior staff while maintaining accurate records.

Qualifications

• NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes.
• 2 years’ experience in similar care environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Positive attitude to supporting and nurturing residents and staff.
• Flexible to cover a range of responsibilities.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Your focus as a Senior Care Assistant will be to support and work alongside the Care team to deliver high standards of personal care, providing a safe, caring, innovative, open, supportive , and inclusive environment for residents, visitors and staff .

Other responsibilitieswillinclude:

• Monitoringthe wellbeing of each resident, being aware of any changeimpactingon care and care plans, ensuring that new needs aremet,and written records are amended to reflect any variation.
• Beinginvolved in the person-centred care planning process, by implementing,monitoring,and undertaking monthly evaluations.
• Supporting residents with their medication requirements.
• Undertaking staff supervisions and supporting staff with their development where required.
• Actingas a key point for contact with residents, theirrelativesand visitors, as well as health and social care professionals involved in their wellbeing, ensuring that any reasonable requests are actedupon,and concerns or complaints are escalated.

• Have an NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes.
• Have 2 years’ experience working in similar care environment.
• Have the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Have a positive attitude to bothsupporting and nurturing residents and staff.
• Beresponsive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities.
