Job summary

Avery Healthcare is seeking a warm Senior Care Assistant - Nights at Avalon Court Care Home in Coventry to join our award-winning team. You will help deliver high standards of personal care, support residents and work alongside the Care team in a safe, compassionate environment.

The role requires an NVQ level 3 (or equivalent) in care, at least 2 years’ experience in a care setting, strong communication skills, and flexibility to cover night shifts.

Qualifications

• NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes.
• 2 years' experience in a similar care environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
• Positive attitude to supporting and nurturing residents and staff.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the wellbeing of residents and update care plans as needed.
• Contribute to person-centred care planning and monthly evaluations.
• Support residents with medication requirements.
• Undertake staff supervision and support staff development.
• Act as key contact with residents, relatives, visitors, and professionals.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Your focus as a Senior Care Assistant will be tosupportand work alongside the Care team to deliver high standards of personal care, providing a safe, caring, innovative, open,supportive, andinclusiveenvironment for residents, visitors and staff.

Other responsibilities will include:

• Monitoringthe wellbeing of each resident, being aware of any changeimpactingon care and care plans, ensuring that new needs aremet,and written records are amended to reflect any variation.
• Beinginvolved in the person-centred care planning process, by implementing,monitoring,and undertaking monthly evaluations.
• Supporting residents with their medication requirements.
• Undertaking staff supervisions and supporting staff with their development where required.
• Actingas a key point for contact with residents, theirrelativesand visitors, as well as health and social care professionals involved in their wellbeing, ensuring that any reasonable requests are actedupon,and concerns or complaints are escalated.
