Job summary

Avery Healthcare is seeking a warm, dedicated Senior Care Assistant - Nights at Avalon Court Care Home in Coventry. You will work with the care team to deliver high standards of personal care in a safe and inclusive environment for residents, visitors and staff.

Requirements include NVQ 3 in care and at least 2 years' experience in a similar setting. DBS check will be provided and eligibility to work in the UK must be proven.

Qualifications

• NVQ 3 in care or equivalent required.
• At least 2 years’ experience in a similar care environment.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with residents, relatives and staff.

Responsibilities

• Monitor residents’ wellbeing and respond to changes in care needs.
• Contribute to person-centred care planning and monthly evaluations.
• Assist residents with medication as required.
• Undertake staff supervisions and support staff development.
• Act as a key point of contact for residents, relatives, visitors, and health/social care professionals, escalating concerns as needed.

We’re now looking for a warm, enthusiastic, and dedicated individual to join our award-winning team as a Senior Care Assistant - Nights at Avalon Court Care Home in Coventry.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Your focus as a Senior Care Assistant will be to support and work alongside the Care team to deliver high standards of personal care, providing a safe, caring, innovative, open, supportive , and inclusive environment for residents, visitors and staff .

Other responsibilitieswillinclude:

• Monitoringthe wellbeing of each resident, being aware of any changeimpactingon care and care plans, ensuring that new needs aremet,and written records are amended to reflect any variation.
• Beinginvolved in the person-centred care planning process, by implementing,monitoring,and undertaking monthly evaluations.
• Supporting residents with their medication requirements.
• Undertaking staff supervisions and supporting staff with their development where required.
• Actingas a key point for contact with residents, theirrelativesand visitors, as well as health and social care professionals involved in their wellbeing, ensuring that any reasonable requests are actedupon,and concerns or complaints are escalated.
