Job summary

Aurem Care is seeking a Senior Carer for night shifts at our Brimington location near Chesterfield. You will lead Care Assistants, deliver high-quality personal and social care, and ensure care plans reflect residents’ needs and preferences.

With NVQ Level 2/3 in Health and Social Care (or willingness to achieve) and strong communication, you’ll support induction and ongoing training while embodying our values. Various night-time shifts available.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Senior Carer.
  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care (or willingness to achieve).
  • Proficiency in medication management.
  • A genuine passion for providing outstanding care and supporting others.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative team spirit.
  • The ability to prioritise tasks and engage residents in their interests.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and inspire a team of Care Assistants, providing guidance and support.
  • Deliver exceptional personal and social care, fostering independence and well-being.
  • Utilise Nourish electronic care platform to ensure personalized care plans are met.
  • Administer medication safely and appropriately, in accordance with training and policies.
  • Support development, implementation and regular review of individual care plans.
  • Contribute to planning and monitoring of resident care, ensuring high standards.
  • Support induction and ongoing training of Care Assistants.
  • Embed our values in practice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer medication safely and appropriately, in accordance with training, competency requirements, and company policies.
  • Support with the development, implementation and regular review of individual care plans, ensuring they accurately reflect residents’ needs, preferences and wishes.
  • Contribute to the planning and monitoring of resident care, ensuring the highest standards.
  • Support the induction and ongoing training of Care Assistants.

What You'll Bring

What We Offer
  • Pay: £14 per hour.
  • Flexible Contracts: Full or Part-time, including weekend work. Bank hours also available.
  • 24, 36 or 48 hours per week available
  • Night shifts
  • Working pattern: 7pm - 7am
  • 28 days annual leave (pro rata for part-time), including bank holidays.
