Job summary

Highgate Care is seeking a Senior Care Assistant in Cantley Grange, Doncaster, to join a compassionate team providing person-centred care. The role includes evening and weekend shifts in a permanent, full-time position with a competitive hourly rate of £13.75.

You will support residents with daily living, supervise junior staff, monitor wellbeing, and help with social activities to promote dignity and comfort for residents.

Qualifications

• Able to work some evenings and weekends.
• NVQ level 3 or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the highest levels of care by supporting residents with daily living.
• Support training and supervision of junior staff.
• Assist residents with physical, emotional, and spiritual needs while preserving dignity.
• Assist residents with limited mobility and use of aids.
• Monitor residents who may be confused or have behavioural issues.
• Assist in continence promotion and end-of-life care when needed.
• Complete care planning and daily written records per policy.
• Support social activities and hobbies within the home.
• Answer nurse call, door, and phone; relay messages promptly.
• Report on residents' well-being and liaise with GPs and managers.
