Job summary

Highgate Care is seeking a Senior Care Assistant at Beechwood Care Centre in Bridlington. This permanent, full-time role (35 hours per week) includes occasional evenings and weekends, with a salary of £14.33 per hour. Join a small, compassionate care group that values kindness and resident dignity.

You will support residents with daily living, supervise junior staff, and help deliver person-centred care that promotes wellbeing and independence for every resident under your care.

Qualifications

• Care experience in a home setting preferred.
• Ability to lead and supervise a team.
• Strong communication and empathy towards residents.

Responsibilities

• Support residents with daily living while maintaining dignity.
• Supervise and train junior staff and caregivers.
• Assist residents with mobility, emotional and spiritual needs.
• Monitor residents with limited mobility and behavioural changes.
• Support continence and end-of-life care as appropriate.
• Complete care plans and daily written records per policies.
• Encourage social activities and hobbies within the home.
• Respond to nurse call system and manage visits and messages.
• Liaise with GPs and care managers about residents’ wellbeing.
