Job summary

Highgate Care in Sutton Hall & Lodge, Keighley, seeks a Senior Care Assistant to enrich residents’ lives with warmth, dignity and compassion. You’ll support daily living, assist with mobility and participate in personalised care plans within a small, values-driven team.

NVQ Level 3 or willingness to work towards it is preferred, with flexibility for some evenings and weekends and prior care experience. We offer a friendly, supportive workplace, ongoing training and real opportunities to grow.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or willingness to work towards.
• Warm, approachable and positive attitude.
• Organised, reliable and able to lead a team.

• Flexible to work some evenings and weekends.
• Previous care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support residents with daily living to maintain dignity.
• Train and supervise junior staff in the home.
• Assist residents with care needs including physical, emotional and spiritual.
• Assist residents with mobility and use of aids.
• Monitor residents who may be confused or have behavioural issues.
• Assist in continence promotion.
• Deliver care for residents who are dying or with progressive illness.
• Complete care plans and daily records per policy.
• Support social activities and hobbies within the home.
• Answer nurse calls, door and telephone and pass messages promptly.
• Liaise with GPs and Support Managers.
