Job summary

Pilgrims' Friend Society is seeking a Senior Care Assistant for our Walton-on-the-Naze residential home in Essex. The role focuses on delivering high-quality personal care, supporting residents 24/7, and promoting dignity and well-being within a Christian charity setting.

You will lead shifts, work hands-on as a care assistant, and collaborate with a dedicated team to ensure excellent standards of care and community involvement.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated empathy for older adults.
• Ability to supervise a care team on shift.
• Comfortable assisting with personal care tasks.
• Commitment to upholding residents' dignity and rights.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality, professional care for residents.
• Supervise all care team staff during shifts.
• Assist residents with personal cleanliness, meals and mobility as needed.
• Maintain up-to-date care plans and encourage resident independence.
• Promote health, safety and wellbeing and build trusting relationships.
