Job summary

Avery Healthcare Group is seeking a Senior Care Assistant for Winchester Heights Care Home in Winchester, Hampshire. You will join a warm, supportive team dedicated to delivering compassionate, high-quality care to residents.

The role focuses on personal care, safety, and creating an inclusive environment for residents, visitors and staff. The successful candidate will have NVQ 3 or equivalent, two years’ experience, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes.
• 2 years' experience working in a similar care environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Positive attitude to supporting and nurturing residents and staff.

Responsibilities

• Support the care team to deliver high standards of personal care in a safe, caring, open environment.
• Monitor wellbeing of residents and update care plans as needs change.
• Assist residents with their medication requirements.
• Undertake staff supervision and support staff development.
• Act as a key contact for residents, relatives, visitors and health care professionals.
