Job summary

The Lodge is seeking a compassionate Senior Care Assistant to support the nursing and care team at The LodgeCare Home in Exeter. You will deliver person-centred care, promote independence, and supervise junior team members in a warm, residential setting.

Applicants should have Level 2/3 in Care, strong English communication, and at least 3 years’ experience caring for older people. DBS checks are required and a bank contract is offered.

Qualifications

• Secondary education with strong numeracy and literacy.
• Clear English communication skills.
• Care qualifications Level 2 and 3.
• At least 3 years experience caring for older people.
• Understanding of Codes of Practice in social care.
• Basic computer literacy for record-keeping and communication.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high standards of personal care with teamwork.
• Carry out clinical procedures under RN/Head of Department guidance.
• Monitor residents' health and wellbeing and report changes.
• Support engagement through activities and interaction.
• Maintain a safe, clean environment and proper storage of equipment.
• Contribute to accurate record-keeping and uphold confidentiality.
