Job summary

Roseberry Care is seeking a Senior Care Assistant for Primrose Lodge in North Shields. You will provide hands-on resident support and lead junior staff across day and night shifts, ensuring high standards of person-centred care.

We value dignity and independence; NVQ3 in Health & Social Care (or progress toward it) is preferred. 33-44 hours per week with alternate weekends; visa sponsorship is not offered.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or working towards it).
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• A genuine passion for elderly care and team development.

Responsibilities

• Assisting residents with personal care and daily activities.
• Promote dignity, independence and residents' rights.
• Supervise and support junior care staff and new team members.
• Monitor residents' conditions and report changes to senior staff.
• Communicate effectively with residents to ensure they feel heard and respected.
• Maintain a clean, safe care environment compliant with health and safety.
