Job summary

Roseberry Care is hiring a Care Assistant for Chichester Court, South Shields NE33 4HE. You will support residents with personal care, meals and social activities to promote independence, dignity and quality of life.

This is a 33–44 hour per week role with day and night shifts and alternating weekends. We welcome applicants with an NVQ2 in Adult Health and Social Care or equivalent, plus at least 1 year’s care experience (not essential).

Qualifications

• NVQ2 in Adult Health and Social Care or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 1 year’s care experience preferred but not essential.
• Excellent communication, listening and empathy skills.
• Genuine passion for elderly care and teamwork.
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with washing, dressing, grooming, toileting and continence care.
• Help with mobility and transfers.
• Offer companionship and a friendly presence.
• Support mental and emotional well-being of residents.
• Observe and report changes in a client’s condition.

Your Role

As a Care Assistant you will support our residents in their day to day lives including providing personal care, social activities, and meals times to promote independence and maximise their quality of life.
