Job summary

Oakland Care Ltd is seeking a Senior Care Assistant for Day shifts in Loughton. This permanent full-time role supports residents with personal care and daily living tasks. A 42-hour week and £14.30 per hour rate apply, with a focus on compassionate, person-centred care.

You will lead HCAs, coordinate care plans, and ensure high standards of service while maintaining safety and comfort for residents.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in delivering care or as a Senior Care Assistant.
• Level 3 Health and Social Care qualification (or actively pursuing/willing to sign up).
• Trained in medication administration.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Health Care Assistants and act as a positive role model.

What you will be doing:

What you need to succeed:

• At least a minimum of 2 years’ experience in delivering care or as a Senior Care Assistant.
• Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care (or willing to sign up/or working towards it).
• Trained in medication administration.
• Excellent people and customer service skills.
• Ability to induct, supervise and mentor junior staff.
• Time management skills to delegate tasks within a team.
• Excellent communication skills – verbal (within the team and to other external professionals) and writing (ability to write and maintain care plans) and digital skills.
