Job summary

Lancashire County Council is recruiting for a Senior Care Assistant in Fylde, Kirkham, Lancashire. The role is permanent, part-time at 22.5 hours per week with a salary of £26,016–£26,847.

You will need an NVQ level 2 or equivalent in health and social care and be willing to complete level 3, plus experience leading and motivating a care team to deliver high-quality care for older people.

As a Senior Care Assistant, you will need to hold an NVQ level 2 or equivalent in health and social care and be willing to complete level 3. In addition, you will have experience leading, coaching and motivating a team to deliver high quality care.

Our committed team provides care to more than 1,000 adults across Lancashire. It runs 16 Care Homes and 13 Day Centres where the team provides support for older people, adults living with dementia and their families.

Local Government Reorganisation

The Government has confirmed that local government across Lancashire will be reorganised, with the current 15 councils being replaced by four new unitary councils covering North, South, East and West Lancashire from April 2028.
