Job summary

Lancashire County Council is recruiting a Senior Care Assistant (Nights) to support older people in our care homes across Lancashire. The role is part-time and nights-based, with a salary aligned to full-time equivalent figures.

You will work to deliver compassionate, person-centred care within a committed team. The post requires NVQ level 2 in health and social care (or equivalent) and a willingness to complete level 3, plus experience in leading, coaching and motivating staff to achieve

As a Senior Care Assistant, you will need to hold an NVQ level 2 or equivalent in health and social care and be willing to complete level 3. In addition, you will have experience leading, coaching and motivating a team to deliver high quality care.

Our committed team provides care to more than 1,000 adults across Lancashire. It runs 16 Care Homes and 13 Day Centres where the team provides support for older people, adults living with dementia and their families.

This position is part time, please note the salary quoted is full time equivalent, the salary received will be paid on a pro–rata basis.

Local Government Reorganisation

The Government has confirmed that local government across Lancashire will be reorganised, with the current 15 councils being replaced by four new unitary councils covering North, South, East and West Lancashire from April 2028.
