Job summary

Bupa's Richmond Villages Wood Norton in Worcestershire is seeking a Senior Care Assistant for a dementia suite. The role involves running a unit on 12-hour shifts, supporting nursing staff with medications, monitoring residents, and updating care plans.

NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care is required; leadership of Care Assistants and strong communication are essential. We offer breaks plus a £500 welcome bonus, permanent part-time hours and a comprehensive benefits package as part of joining

Qualifications

A Senior Care Assistant is essential within our care home, providing vital support to the nursing team with clinical duties. They ensure residents receive high-quality care by assisting with medical tasks such as administering medication, monitoring vital signs, and updating digital care plans. You’ll help us make health happen by:

• Day-to-day responsibility for running a unit
• Supporting with clinical duties, including supporting the nurse to observe, issue medication, review care plans and accurate record keeping
• Driving and managing a team of Care Assistants, including responsible for all shift handovers of the teams
• Helping with training and supervision of new staff members so they feel welcomed and supported
• Building relationships with residents, their families and external teams such as GPs and District Nurses
• Assisting residents with a range of personal care duties
