Job summary

Avery Healthcare’s Lavender Lodge Care Home in Farnborough, Hampshire, is seeking a warm Senior Care Assistant to join our award-winning team. You will work alongside the care team to deliver high standards of personal care in a safe, inclusive environment for residents, visitors and staff.

The ideal candidate will have NVQ Level 3 in care, at least two years’ experience in a similar setting, and strong communication skills. DBS check and eligibility to work in the UK are required.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in care or equivalent.
• At least two years’ experience in a similar care environment.
• Excellent communication with residents, families and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Monitor residents’ wellbeing and update care plans as needs change.
• Participate in person-centred care planning and monthly evaluations.
• Support residents with medication where required.
• Undertake staff supervisions and support development.
• Act as a key contact for residents, relatives, and health and social care professionals, escalating concerns as needed.
