Job summary

Agincare is seeking a Senior Care Assistant for Bosworth Care Home in Weymouth. You will deliver person-centred care, support residents with daily needs, and maintain dignity and independence in a warm, homely setting.

Responsibilities include care planning, medication administration, and leading social activities. The role promotes teamwork within a supportive environment and offers on-going training and a pension scheme.

Qualifications

• Right to work in the UK with at least 12 months remaining (no skilled/student visas)
• Level 2 Health & Social Care qualification
• Previous experience in a care home environment

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centred care including bathing, dressing and oral care while promoting independence
• Contribute to and review care plans to reflect resident needs
• Administer medications safely according to procedures
• Lead activities, outings and meaningful engagement within the home
• Support teammates and assist in the smooth running of the home

Responsibilities

As a Senior Care Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in supporting residents to live comfortably, safely, and with dignity. No two days are the same, but your responsibilities will include:

• Person-centred care: supporting residents with personal care such as bathing, dressing, and oral care while promoting independence and choice
• Care planning: contributing to care reviews to ensure support plans reflect individual needs
• Medication support: administering medication safely and in line with procedures
• Activities & companionship: taking part in social activities, outings, and meaningful engagement within the home
• Team support: helping new or existing colleagues through shadowing and teamwork, and supporting the smooth running of the home when required

What We’re Looking For

• A minimum of 12 months remaining on your right to work in the UK, please note: Under new guidance we are unable to accept skilled or student visas
• Level 2 Health & Social Care
• Previous experience working within a care home
• Caring, positive, and reliable individuals
