Job summary

Cinnamon Care Collection is seeking a Senior Care Assistant at Watermeadow Grange in Topsham. This full-time role involves night shifts and 48 hours per week in a dementia-friendly residential setting.

You will provide compassionate care, supervise colleagues, and ensure compliance with CQC standards. NVQ3 or equivalent, plus medication administration qualifications, and prior dementia experience are required.

Qualifications

• NVQ level 3 or equivalent qualification in care.
• Sound knowledge of care legislation including CQC Fundamental Standards.
• Two years’ experience with older people and dementia; supervisory experience; medication administration qualification.

Responsibilities

• Care for residential and dementia residents as part of a close-knit team.
• Supervise and mentor care assistants to ensure high-quality care.
• Administer medications in line with policy and training.
• Support induction and ongoing training for team members.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, passionate and reliable Senior Care Assistant to be part of the care team looking after our residential and dementia residents. Our team members must have a real passion for care and want to work as part of a close-knit team supporting each other, and wanting to promote choice, individuality and independence to our residents at all times.

We are looking to recruit experienced Senior Carers who hold a NVQ level 3 (or equivalent qualification) and have a sound knowledge of care legislation including CQC Fundamental Standards. You will have supervisory experience, Medication administration experience (& relevant qualification) as well as being a supportive mentor to the care assistants. You will need 2 years’ previous experience gained from working with older people and people who experience dementia – previous experience as a Senior Care Assistant is desirable.
