HC-One Ltd. is seeking a Senior Care Assistant who embodies kindness and compassion in delivering care. Responsibilities include leading a team, creating personalized care plans, and providing both physical and emotional support to residents, particularly those with dementia. About The Role
As a Senior Care Assistant at HC One, kindness is at the core of everything you do. It influences every aspect of our Dementia, Nursing, Residential, and Specialist care homes. Your responsibilities will include planning and delivering care that promotes our residents' security, dignity, and independence. You will get to know residents and their families, ensuring personalized care plans. Leading a team of Care Assistants, you'll uphold high standards of care and be a positive influence on your team. Your tasks may involve assisting with mobility, end-of-life care, or communicating with families, always with kindness.
Assisting the Registered Nurse and Care Manager, you'll provide physical and mental stimulation through social and recreational activities, and administer medication. Maintaining accurate records and building strong team relationships are key aspects of your role.
Ideally, you will have completed a Level 2 Diploma in Adult Care (S/NVQ) and be willing to work towards Level 3 or equivalent. Experience in person-centered care planning and caring for people with dementia is preferred. The essential qualities include positive energy, good record-keeping, effective time management, and genuine kindness in communication.
