About The Role
Please note that this is a full-time role working 38.5 hours on day shifts, 8am - 8pm. Full flexibility is required.
As a Senior Care Assistant at HC One, kindness will be at the core of everything you do. It influences every aspect of our Dementia, Nursing, Residential, and Specialist care homes. Every team member understands that our residents are people with their own stories, just like everyone else. Joining us offers a wonderful opportunity to give back to these individuals.
Your responsibilities will include planning and delivering care that promotes residents' security, dignity, and independence. You will get to know residents and their families to ensure personalized care plans. Leading a team of Care Assistants, you will uphold high standards of care and influence your team positively. Whether demonstrating how to use a walking frame, assisting at mealtimes, or communicating with families, kindness will be paramount.
You will assist the Registered Nurse and Care Manager in providing physical and mental stimulation through social and recreational activities, as well as administering medication.
A key responsibility is maintaining accurate records and building strong team relationships.
Ideally, you will have completed a Level 2 Diploma in Adult Care (S/NVQ) and be willing to pursue Level 3 or equivalent. Experience in person-centered care planning and caring for people with dementia is desirable. Your positive energy, ability to connect with others, good record-keeping skills, and effective time management are essential. Communication should always be considerate and kind.
