Job summary

Stanely Park Care Home in Paisley is looking for a Senior Care Assistant to guide a care team in delivering high-quality, person-centred care. Expect SVQ Level 2 as a minimum, with Level 3 desirable. Training in medication administration is essential, and prior leadership experience is beneficial in a warm, supportive environment.

Stanely Park Care Home, located in Paisley’s Balgonie area, is a warm and welcoming 40-bed home, recently refurbished to offer a modern, comfortable environment. Senior Care Assistant Contract

• £14.55 per hour
• Contracted to full time hours per week
• Paid PVG, pension, uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Role Overview

As Senior Care Assistant, you will guide and support your team in delivering safe, high quality, person centred care that makes a real difference every day to our residents.

You will take responsibility for the smooth running of your shift, ensuring care is well organised, consistent and delivered to a high standard. Alongside providing hands on care, you will oversee medication, monitor residents’ wellbeing and respond to any changes, ensuring care remains safe and appropriate.

You will maintain accurate care records and work closely with colleagues, families and healthcare professionals to ensure clear communication and continuity of care.

We Are Looking For

• SVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care (minimum), with Level 3 desirable or willingness to work towards
• Medication administration training with competency is essential
• Experience supporting or leading a care team is beneficial
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• A caring, compassionate and professional approach
