ABOUT THE ROLE

Your role as a Senior Care Assistant involves supporting and working alongside the Care team to deliver high standards of personal care, creating a safe, caring, innovative, open, supportive, and inclusive environment for residents, visitors, and staff.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Monitoring the wellbeing of residents, noting any changes affecting care and updating care plans accordingly.
  • Participating in person-centred care planning, including implementing, monitoring, and conducting monthly evaluations.
  • Supporting residents with their medication needs.
  • Undertaking staff supervisions and supporting staff development.
  • Serving as a key contact for residents, relatives, visitors, and health and social care professionals, ensuring requests are addressed and concerns escalated appropriately.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Hold an NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in care for care homes.
  • Have at least 2 years' experience in a similar care environment.
  • Be an effective communicator, both verbally and in writing.
  • Have a positive attitude towards supporting and nurturing residents and staff.
  • Be responsive and flexible to a range of responsibilities.
