Job Title: Senior Care Assistant at HC One

As a Senior Care Assistant at HC One, kindness is at the core of everything you do. It influences every aspect of our Dementia, Nursing, Residential, and Specialist care homes. Every team member understands that our residents are individuals with their own stories, and joining us offers a wonderful opportunity to give back to them.

Your role will involve planning and delivering care that provides residents with security, dignity, and independence. You will get to know residents and their families, helping us deliver personalized care plans.

Leading a team of Care Assistants, you will maintain high standards of care and influence your team positively. Whether demonstrating how to use a walking frame, assisting at mealtimes, or communicating with families, kindness is paramount.

You will assist the Registered Nurse and Care Manager in providing physical and mental stimulation through social and recreational activities, and administering medication.

One of your key responsibilities is to keep accurate records and build strong relationships within your team.

Ideally, you will have completed a Level 2 Diploma in Adult Care or S/NVQ, and be willing to pursue Level 3 or equivalent. Experience in person-centered care planning and caring for people with dementia is preferred. The essential qualities are positive energy, good communication, time management, and kindness.

Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility. You should be able to recognize signs of abuse, harm, or neglect and know how to respond. Training will be provided, and you are encouraged to seek advice and report concerns appropriately.

We offer full training and a wide range of benefits, including:

  • Paid Enhanced DBS/PVG
  • Competitive hourly rate based on experience and qualifications
  • Free uniform
  • Nutritious meals during shifts of 8 hours or more
