About The Role
As a Senior Care Assistant at HC One, kindness will be at the core of everything you do. It influences every aspect of our Dementia, Nursing, Residential, and Specialist care homes. Every team member understands that our residents are individuals with their own stories, and by joining us, you'll have a wonderful opportunity to give back to them.
Your responsibilities include planning and delivering care that promotes residents' security, dignity, and independence. You will build relationships with residents and their families to ensure personalized care plans. Leading a team of Care Assistants, you'll maintain high standards of care and influence your team positively. Your tasks may involve showing how to use mobility aids, assisting at mealtimes, or communicating with families, all carried out with kindness.
You will assist the Registered Nurse and Care Manager in providing physical and mental stimulation through social and recreational activities, as well as administering medication.
Maintaining accurate records and fostering strong team relationships are key aspects of the role.
Ideally, you will have completed a Level 2 Diploma in Adult Care or equivalent, with experience in person-centered care planning and dementia care. What's most important is your positive energy, ability to connect with people, good record-keeping skills, and effective time management. Always communicate considerately and kindly with residents and colleagues.
