Job summary

Lakelands Lodge Care Home in Fleetwood is seeking a Senior Care Assistant to guide and support a care team in delivering high-quality, person-centred care for residents. You will oversee medication, monitor wellbeing, and ensure smooth shift operations.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care (minimum), Level 3 desirable or willingness to work towards
• Medication administration training with competency is essential
• Experience supporting or leading a care team is beneficial
• Strong communication and leadership skills

Responsibilities

• Lead and support your team in delivering safe, high-quality, person-centred care
• Take responsibility for the smooth running of your shift and ensure care is well organised

Contracted hours: 35.25 - 49

Set in the historic Victorian town of Fleetwood, Lakelands Lodge is a modern, purpose-built home offering residential, nursing, and dementia care for up to 78 residents. With stunning views over a tranquil boating lake and the Irish Sea, our location provides an inspiring backdrop for the work we do every day.

Senior Care Assistant Contract

• £13.71 per hour
• Contracted to 35.25-49 hours per week
• Paid DBS, pension, uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Role Overview
As Senior Care Assistant, you will guide and support your team in delivering safe, high quality, person centred care that makes a real difference every day to our residents.
You will take responsibility for the smooth running of your shift, ensuring care is well organised, consistent and delivered to a high standard. Alongside providing hands on care, you will oversee medication, monitor residents’ wellbeing and respond to any changes, ensuring care remains safe and appropriate.
You will maintain accurate care records and work closely with colleagues, families and healthcare professionals to ensure clear communication and continuity of care.
The successful candidate will be required to work alternate weekends.
