Job summary

Henderson House Care Home in Dalgety Bay, Fife, is looking for a Senior Care Assistant to guide the team in delivering safe, person-centred care to residents. You will coordinate shifts, oversee care delivery, and ensure high standards of wellbeing and documentation.

You will lead with strong communication, support colleagues, and uphold our values. The role offers full-time hours with a competitive hourly rate of £14.50, PVG coverage, pension, and uniform provided.

Qualifications

• SVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (minimum).
• Medication administration training with competency is essential.
• Experience supporting or leading a care team is beneficial.

Henderson House Care Home is a well established care home in the coastal town of Dalgety Bay in Fife, providing Residential, Nursing, Dementia and Respite care for up to 60 residents. With a strong, experienced team and a welcoming, homely atmosphere, this is a service where staff can feel supported, valued and confident in delivering high quality care within a stable and well run environment.

Senior Care Assistant Contract

• £14.50 per hour
• Contracted to full time hours per week
• Paid PVG, pension, uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Role Overview

As Senior Care Assistant, you will guide and support your team in delivering safe, high quality, person centred care that makes a real difference every day to our residents.

You will take responsibility for the smooth running of your shift, ensuring care is well organised, consistent and delivered to a high standard. Alongside providing hands on care, you will oversee medication, monitor residents’ wellbeing and respond to any changes, ensuring care remains safe and appropriate.

You will maintain accurate care records and work closely with colleagues, families and healthcare professionals to ensure clear communication and continuity of care.
