Job description

Job Title: Senior Care Assistant

Please note: This role is full time, 44 hours per week, working nights from 8pm to 8am on a seven-day rota.

Your responsibilities will include:

  1. Planning and implementing care that promotes residents' security, dignity, and independence.
  2. Getting to know residents and their families to deliver personalized care plans.
  3. Leading a team of Care Assistants to maintain high standards of care.
  4. Supporting residents with daily activities, end-of-life care, and communicating with families.
  5. Assisting with social and recreational activities and administering medication.
  6. Maintaining accurate records and fostering strong team relationships.

Ideal candidates will have:

  1. Completed a Level 2 Diploma in Adult Care or equivalent, with willingness to pursue Level 3.
  2. Experience in person-centered care planning and caring for people with dementia.
  3. Excellent record-keeping skills, time management, and a positive attitude.
  4. Ability to communicate considerately and kindly with residents and colleagues.
