About The Role
Please note that this is a full-time role working 33 hours per week, nights only from 8pm - 8am.
As a Senior Care Assistant at HC One, kindness will be at the core of everything you do. It touches upon every aspect of our Dementia, Nursing, Residential, and Specialist care homes. Every team member understands that our residents are people with their own stories, just like everyone else. Joining us offers a wonderful opportunity to give back to these individuals.
Your responsibilities include planning and implementing care that provides our residents with security, dignity, and independence. You will get to know residents and their families to help deliver personalized care plans. Leading a team of Care Assistants, you will uphold high standards of care and influence your team positively. Whether demonstrating how to use a walking frame, assisting at end of life, or communicating with families, kindness is paramount.
Assisting the Registered Nurse and Care Manager, you will provide physical and mental stimulation through social and recreational activities, and administer medication.
A key duty of the Senior Care Assistant is maintaining accurate records and building strong team relationships.
Ideally, you will have completed a Level 2 Diploma in Adult Care or equivalent, with a background in person-centered care planning and dementia care. Your positive energy, ability to connect with people, good record-keeping skills, and effective time management are essential. Always communicate considerately and kindly with residents and colleagues.
