Job Opportunity: Senior Care Assistant

Our client is seeking a dedicated individual to join a friendly, medium-sized care home in Bedford that supports up to 35 residents. This vibrant and inclusive home provides compassionate care for adults of all ages, including those living with dementia, mental health conditions, and physical disabilities.

They are now looking for an experienced and motivated individual to join their team as a Senior Care Assistant on a permanent day shift contract.

Senior Care Assistant Job Details:

• £12.92 - £13.42 per hour + weekend uplift of £1.75 per hour
• 35 hours contracted per week
• Day shifts

Requirements:

• Excellent communication and written skills
• Previous experience as a senior care assistant, ideally in a care home setting
• NVQ Level 3 or higher in Health & Social Care
• Medication training

Responsibilities:

• Assist residents with personal care tasks, such as washing, dressing, eating, and toileting
• Liaise with GPs, healthcare professionals, and families
• Manage the care team and ensure staff adhere to CQC guidelines
• Provide exceptional levels of care to residents
• Assist with medication administration, care plans, and risk assessments
• Understand CQC regulations and DoLs
