Senior Care Assistant - Nights

£12.75 per hour - Paid breaks plus £500 welcome bonus

Permanent, Full-time, 36 hours per week across 3x 12-hour shifts (20:00 - 08:00), including alternative weekends

A Senior Care Assistant plays a vital role in our care home, supporting the nursing team with clinical duties such as administering medication, monitoring vital signs, and updating digital care plans. Candidates should possess an NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care. The role involves ensuring high-quality care, maintaining residents’ health, dignity, and comfort, and bridging communication between residents and staff. Responsibilities include:
  • Managing day-to-day operations of a care unit
  • Supporting clinical duties, including medication administration and care plan reviews
  • Leading and managing a team of Care Assistants, including shift handovers
  • Training and supervising new staff members
  • Building relationships with residents, families, GPs, and District Nurses
  • Assisting residents with personal care duties
