Job summary

Penrose Care Home, part of Care Concern Group, is seeking a Senior Care Assistant to guide a team in delivering safe, high-quality, person-centred care for up to 65 residents in Biggleswade. The role includes overseeing medication, monitoring wellbeing and ensuring clear care records across teams and families.

• Medication administration training with competency is essential.

Senior Care Assistant Contract

• £14.00 per hour
• Contracted to 44 hours per week
• Paid DBS, pension, uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Situated in the residential area of Kings Reach in the market town of Biggleswade, our private, luxury care home offers several types of care for up to 65 residents.

Role Overview

As Senior Care Assistant, you will guide and support your team in delivering safe, high quality, person centred care that makes a real difference every day to our residents.

You will take responsibility for the smooth running of your shift, ensuring care is well organised, consistent and delivered to a high standard. Alongside providing hands on care, you will oversee medication, monitor residents’ wellbeing and respond to any changes, ensuring care remains safe and appropriate.

You will maintain accurate care records and work closely with colleagues, families and healthcare professionals to ensure clear communication and continuity of care.
