Job summary
University Hospitals Dorset NHS Foundation Trust (UHD) seeks a Consultant Cardiologist with a specialist interest in Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI) to join the Dorset Heart Centre team at Royal Bournemouth Hospital. The post supports a high-volume, 24/7 PCI service with a collaborative, consultant-led cardiology team.
You will contribute to research activities and teaching while providing comprehensive coronary intervention across Dorset, Hampshire and Wiltshire.
Qualifications
- Full GMC registration to practise in the UK.
- On GMC Specialist Register for Cardiology with CCT/CCST or to obtain within six months.
- MD or PhD completed.
Responsibilities
- Join a team of 21 substantive Consultant Cardiologists across UHD.
- Contribute to a high-volume PCI service with 24/7 coverage.
- Engage in research activity and teaching within UHD.
- Support the primary PCI on-call rota and complex coronary intervention.
