Job summary

University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust seeks a Consultant Interventional Cardiologist with interests in Coronary and Structural Heart Intervention to join the Sussex Cardiac Centre, primarily based at Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton.

The role encompasses coronary/structural interventions, inpatient/outpatient duties, teaching, research, governance and service development in a nationally recognised cardiac centre.

Qualifications

• Postgraduate qualification or equivalent.
• Full and specialist GMC registration (or eligibility within six months). UK-trained must have CCT in Cardiology or be within six months of receiving it.
• Competitive Interventional Fellowship.

Responsibilities

• 2 Out-patient clinics.
• Catheter Lab sessions including Structural Heart and Coronary work.
• Work with multi-disciplinary teams.
• Audit and education.
• In-patient duties – Team of the Week consultant (1:12).
• Primary angioplasty rota.
