Job summary

Oxleas is recruiting for a SWP Trainee role within the CYP-PT programme to extend clinical skills for CWPs and EMHPs, including supervision responsibilities. The post develops early intervention for CYP mental health and involves working across services with a strong focus on safeguarding and governance.

The role requires prior supervised practice with children and families, caseload management and delivery of group-based interventions within schools and communities.

Qualifications

  • Ideally over two years’ experience of clinical supervised practice with children and families.
  • Experience with CYPs with mild to moderate mental health problems and CBT-informed self-help.
  • Experience in managing and prioritising a caseload.
  • Experience supervising junior staff or trainees.

Responsibilities

  • Fulfilling the course requirement for the CYP-PT programme.
  • Work within governance frameworks including clinical governance and data protection.
  • Inform supervisor and university of absences and schedule adjustments.
  • Attend site on non-university days and use site leave as agreed.
  • Deliver psychoeducational workshops, webinars and school-based groups.
  • Collaborate across agencies to coordinate responses to CYP mental health needs.
  • Encourage user involvement and ensure data returns support service improvement.
  • Provide supervision to CWPs or EMHPs after second SWP year.
