Job summary

Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 7 Clinical Nurse Specialist in Learning Disabilities CAMHS in Solihull. The post leads nursing practice across community services, assessing and coordinating care for 0-18 with LD/A, and delivering specialist education and training.

Requirements include RMN registration with the NMC, extensive senior-nurse experience, and strong leadership and collaboration skills to support staff and carers within the Trust.

Qualifications

• Current professional nursing qualification (RMN).
• Current registration with the NMC.
• Significant experience at a senior nurse level.
• Experience of working with people with LD/A.
• Positive Behaviour Support training.
• Knowledge of Continuing healthcare checklists.

Responsibilities

• Act as a Senior CAMHS Practitioner within a defined community service (Solar).
• Manage a defined caseload within the service, developing specialised programmes of care.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate care within agreed parameters.
• Provide supervision and consultancy to other mental health professionals.
• Ensure effective communication pathways and promote equality, diversity and rights.
• Identify training needs and contribute to staff development.
