Job summary

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) is recruiting a Band 6 Registered Learning Disability Nurse to join our CAMHS LD Team. You will provide specialist LD nursing support for children and young people across Tier 3 Community CAMHS, working with multidisciplinary partners to deliver recovery‑focused care.

You must hold an NMC pin and have experience in LD/mental health services for young people. The post is a full-time fixed-term role based at Templeton Business Centre, with standard hours and

Qualifications

• NMC registration and registration as a Learning Disability Nurse.
• Experience with children and young people in LD/mental health settings.
• Excellent communication and partnership working with multi-agency teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist LD nursing assessment and support for children/young people.
• Work within CAMHS teams to deliver high-quality, person-centred care.
• Undertake holistic and risk assessments to inform care planning.
• Develop therapeutic relationships with families to promote engagement and positive outcomes.
• Offer specialist advice to CAMHS colleagues and partner agencies.
• Contribute to supervision, mentoring and service development.
• Coordinate care pathways with education, social work and health partners.
