Cornwall Partnership NHS Foundation Trust is offering a consultant post in child and adolescent psychiatry within the Multi-Agency Rapid Response Service (MARRS). The post provides senior medical leadership to a countywide crisis service for children and young people with acute mental health difficulties, including assessment, treatment, and risk management.

• Ability to give expert opinion on a range of child and adolescent psychiatry problems.
• Excellent clinical assessment skills.
• Ability to manage risk.

Responsabilidades

• Provide senior medical leadership to the countywide crisis service for children and young people.
• Carry out psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, formulation and treatment for children and young people with complex and acute difficulties.
• Lead clinically within the MARRS multidisciplinary team.
• Support delivery of the 24/7 crisis response service.
• Provide medical input to risk assessment, care planning and treatment formulation.
• Lead Mental Health Act assessments for young people known to the service where required.
• Work with community CAMHS, inpatient services and partner agencies to offer alternatives to admission and enable safe, timely discharge.
• Contribute to multidisciplinary meetings, safeguarding processes, child protection reviews and multi-agency planning meetings.
• Teach undergraduate medical students, resident doctors and other healthcare professionals.
