Job summary

Matchtech Group is seeking a Senior CAD Technician to support delivery of infrastructure and utilities projects in Manchester. The role offers hybrid working for the right person with an expected start in December or January.

The successful candidate will produce and update detailed civil engineering drawings using Civil 3D, interpret design information, and collaborate with civil engineers and stakeholders to ensure accuracy and quality across 2D and 3D drawings.

Qualifications

• Significant experience as a CAD Technician in civil engineering or water sector.
• Proficiency in Civil 3D and CAD software.
• Ability to produce accurate 2D and 3D drawings for engineering projects.
• Ability to interpret engineering designs, specifications and survey information.
• Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to design documentation.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Producing and updating detailed civil engineering drawings using Civil 3D and CAD software.
• Preparing technical drawings and plans for water and civil engineering projects.
• Working from engineering specifications, surveys and design information.
• Collaborating with civil engineers, designers and project stakeholders to develop accurate drawings.
• Checking drawings for accuracy, compliance and consistency with project requirements.
• Maintaining drawing registers, revisions and associated technical documentation.
• Supporting the delivery of projects from concept through to construction.
