Job summary

Matchtech Group is seeking a Senior CAD Technician in Manchester to support infrastructure and utilities projects. The role offers hybrid working and starts in December or January.

You will produce and update detailed civil drawings using Civil 3D, collaborate with engineers and designers, and ensure accuracy and compliance with project requirements. The successful candidate will have significant CAD experience in civil engineering or water sectors, strong Civil 3D skills, and a methodical

Qualifications

• Significant experience as a CAD Technician in civil engineering or water sector.
• Strong proficiency in Civil 3D and CAD software.
• Good understanding of civil engineering principles, infrastructure design and standards.
• Experience producing accurate 2D and 3D drawings for engineering projects.
• Ability to interpret engineering designs, specifications and survey information.
• Strong attention to detail and methodical design documentation.

Our client, a specialist organisation within the water and civil engineering sector, is seeking a Senior CAD Technician to support the delivery of infrastructure and utilities projects in Manchester. This contract opportunity offers hybrid working for the right person and is expected to commence in December or January.

Key Responsibilities:

• Producing and updating detailed civil engineering drawings using Civil 3D and CAD software
• Preparing technical drawings and plans for water and civil engineering projects
• Working from engineering specifications, surveys and design information
• Collaborating with civil engineers, designers and project stakeholders to develop accurate drawings
• Checking drawings for accuracy, compliance and consistency with project requirements
• Maintaining drawing registers, revisions and associated technical documentation
• Supporting the delivery of projects from concept through to construction

Job Requirements:

• Significant experience as a CAD Technician within the civil engineering or water sector
• Strong proficiency in Civil 3D and computer-aided design software
• Good understanding of civil engineering principles, infrastructure design and technical drawing standards
• Experience producing accurate 2D and 3D drawings for engineering projects
• Ability to interpret engineering designs, specifications and survey information
• Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to design documentation
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams
• Availability to work on a contract basis in Manchester, with hybrid working available for the right individual
