Job summary

Wr Hvac in Tamworth is seeking an experienced CAD Technician to produce detailed 2D drawings and 3D CAD models for industrial equipment, focusing on fabrication drawings and technical documentation for manufacturing and project delivery.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience in CAD Technician or Draughtsperson roles.
• Strong SolidWorks experience with 3D modelling and technical drawings.
• Proficient in AutoCAD or equivalent 2D software.
• Experience producing factory layouts and fabrication drawings.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications and manufacturing details.
• Experience maintaining drawing control and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Produce 2D drawings and 3D CAD models using SolidWorks and AutoCAD
• Create factory layouts, equipment positioning plans and fabrication drawings
• Convert engineering sketches and site measurements into detailed technical drawings
• Prepare drawing packs, assembly details and bills of materials
• Maintain drawing revisions, document control and technical records
• Work closely with engineering, fabrication and project teams to support project delivery
