Ernest Gordon Recruitment in Walton-On-Thames is seeking a CAD Technician who will gain tailored training on SolidWorks while contributing to hardware design for manufacture. The role blends 2D design with some 3D work and project management exposure, from cradle to grave.

You’ll work 9am-5.30pm with flexitime offered once settled, enjoy an in-house mentoring programme and the chance to progress into installation supervision or project management as you develop.

Qualifications

• Experience as CAD Technician in manufacturing or similar environment.
• Ability to produce 2D designs with some 3D work.

Responsibilities

• Design noise control hardware and acoustic enclosures for manufacture.
• Liaise with sales team and manufacturers.

Are you a CAD Technician with a background in manufacturing, looking to step into a role where you will gain tailored training on SolidWorks, where you won't just be sitting at a desk all day drawing, but getting involved in a variety of project management work?

Your role will involve design of hardware for manufacture through mainly 2D design with some 3D involved, alongside movement into project management and installation supervision if desired in the future. You will take designs from cradle to grave, getting the opportunity to see your designs come to life.

The company has been going for over 30 years and are an innovative company known for developing market leading noise control hardware; they are happy at their current size and are looking to maintain their workload and current success.

This role would suit a CAD Technician with a background, looking to further develop their skills with CAD while gaining training on SolidWorks through tailored in-house mentoring, with the ability to step into a project management oriented role.

The Role:

• Design of noise control hardware and acoustic enclosures for manufacture
• Liaising with the sales team and manufacturers
• Managing projects from cradle to grave once fully trained
• 5 hours a week, standard 9am-5.30pm, flexitime once settled
