Job description

We are currently seeking to recruit an experienced Senior CAD / BIM Technician to join our Water sector teams in Dublin or Belfast office. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a fast-growing, multi-disciplinary infrastructure consultancy.

We look forward to continuing our work with Uisce Eireann on the Engineering Design Services Framework and in Northern Ireland, we are proud to have been appointed to Northern Ireland Water’s IF182 Professional Services Framework. Taoiseach Simon Harris recently opened our new Dublin office, and we have now also moved to a new city center office in Belfast .

As a CAD/BIM Technician responsible for supporting the Digital Delivery team across the UK and Ireland. You will provide technical design support to our Engineering team and play a key role in the successful delivery of our projects.

You will collaboratewith engineers from multi disciplines across the business to deliver high impact projects across the regulated water sector. You will manage personal workload plans, establishing, and maintaining delivery deadlines.

You will prepare project drawings and BIM models, understanding, interpreting, and implementing local client CAD standards and BIM data requirements. You will work within the Common Data Environments for your CAD data with ISO19650 compliance.

About You

Ideally you will have a minimum HNC qualification in Civil Engineering or equivalent subjects and have experience of working on water engineering projects. In addition, you will also have:

  • Experience of working in Common Data Environments using Data management Systems such as BIM360 and ProjectWise

  • Used Civil 3D for earthworks and pipeline profiles.

  • Used Revit for creating, amending structures and plant.

  • Ability to organise your workload across multiple projects

  • Ability to mentor junior staff supporting your region
