My client, a leading public sector organisation based in Belfast, is currently seeking a Full-Time Mechanical Engineering Technician.
Hours: The hours of work will be hours per week, Monday to Thursday, and on Friday, with full in-office working.
The following details the job requirements:
Main Purpose:
To work as a Mechanical Engineering Technician as part of the Fleet Mechanical & Engineering teams within the three regional workshops to ensure service delivery of all specialist operational equipment and vehicles is met at all times. The Mechanical Engineering Technician (MET) is responsible for inspection, diagnostics, planned maintenance, emergency repair, bodywork, coach building, and modification to all vehicles and equipment within the NIFRS fleet. The MET will work across different trade disciplines and participate in the Regional Standby Rota to support operational resilience, including emergency repairs and vehicle recovery on a 24/7 basis.
