Job summary

VirtueTech Recruitment Group seeks a Senior Software Developer for a premier energy trading client. You will work closely with the trading desk, building and enhancing systems traders rely on daily, focusing on performance and reliability.

This hands-on role enables you to influence architecture, migrate legacy platforms to the cloud, and set modern engineering standards while delivering production-grade solutions with front-office users.

Qualifications

• Recent front-office experience in commodities trading, with strong power and gas knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and test trading applications using C# .NET, with some React or Angular on the front end
• Shape the architecture and design of the team’s systems, applying strong engineering standards
• Lead the migration of legacy platforms to the cloud alongside the platform engineering team
• Partner with traders and front-office users to understand their needs and deliver production-quality solutions
• Support live trading systems and resolve issues quickly and professionally
• Bring new ideas to the team and help raise engineering standards
