Job summary

VirtueTech Recruitment Group is partnering with a leading global financial services organisation to hire a C# .NET Developer for their Power & Gas Technology team in London. You will help restructure a Front Office ETRM trading platform, modernising a mission-critical system to support trading across Power, Gas and Emissions.

Hybrid work – 3 days on site in London; the role involves end-to-end design, implementation, and deployment within an Agile team, delivering low-latency, event-driven

Qualifications

• Proven track record in C# .NET development for trading platforms.
• Experience with .NET 8, C#, LINQ and Entity Framework.
• Strong SQL Server design for high-volume trading data.
• Hands-on experience with Kafka or similar messaging (Solace).
• Azure cloud and on-premise solutions familiarity.
• Knowledge of clean architecture and SOLID principles.

Responsibilities

• Develop high-performance trading applications in C# .NET.
• Implement .NET 8 patterns, LINQ and Entity Framework.
• Design and manage scalable SQL Server databases.
• Build low-latency, event-driven architectures with Kafka/Solace.
• Apply asynchronous programming, multithreading and real-time state management.
• Deliver cloud/on-premise solutions using Azure.
• Collaborate with Front Office traders and tech teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
• Contribute to energy trading, ETRM or commodities trading platforms.
