Job summary

BakerHicks in Manchester is seeking an experienced Senior C&I Engineer to support a growing workload across technically complex projects. You will join a small team of engineers and designers and work as part of a wider multidisciplinary group.

The role covers the delivery of Control and Instrumentation activities across the full project lifecycle, from feasibility to commissioning, including C&I design, data sheets, schedules and required technical documentation.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering a full C&I package on projects within highly regulated sectors.
• Experience with hazardous area equipment selection and installation design requirements.
• Ability to obtain UK Security Clearance at SC level or above.
• Willingness and ability to attend regular site visits.

Responsibilities

• Delivering C&I activities from feasibility through to commissioning.
• Producing C&I design, data sheets, schedules and associated documentation.
• Taking ownership of packages of work and delivering them independently.
• Deputising for the Lead Engineer when required.
• Working closely with a small engineering and design team, as well as a wider multidisciplinary team.
• Engaging with clients where required.
