Job summary

Jobgether is seeking a Senior Software Engineer – C++/Go, based in the United Kingdom, to join a remote-first engineering team developing cybersecurity and web infrastructure solutions. You will work at the systems level, designing and building high-performance networking components and bot detection capabilities.

You will contribute to both proprietary and open-source projects, collaborating with engineers across the full lifecycle and across a tech stack including Go, RabbitMQ, PostgreSQL,

Qualifications

• 10+ years of C/C++ software development experience.
• Strong low-level programming and network programming expertise.
• Experience with web security concepts and web infrastructure.
• Go experience is a strong advantage.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance software components in C/C++ for web security and infrastructure.
• Develop integration modules for web servers like Nginx and Apache.
• Extend, optimize, and maintain open-source libraries and tools.
• Implement features in a C++-based bot detection engine to improve threat identification.
• Design and build networking and web security products addressing evolving infrastructure needs.
• Collaborate on web platforms and site engines powered partly by C++.
• Take ownership of the full software development lifecycle from design to deployment.
• Investigate and resolve complex systems-level performance, scalability, and reliability issues.
• Collaborate to define architectural decisions and evaluate new technologies.
• Contribute to proprietary and open-source projects with strong code quality.
• Work with Go, RabbitMQ, PostgreSQL, ClickHouse, Kubernetes, and GitLab CI/CD.
• Engage in technical discussions and continuously improve engineering practices in a distributed team.
