Job summary

Reactive Markets Limited in the United Kingdom is seeking a Senior C++ Software Engineer to shape the Switchboard trading platform. You will work on latency-critical components, from pricing engines to messaging layers, owning deliverables and production support.

You'll collaborate across teams, review designs, mentor engineers, and contribute to architectural decisions while embracing modern C++20, Go, and cloud-native AWS infrastructure.

Qualifications

C++ and Linux systems programming with a strong performance focus.
Experience with latency-sensitive systems and profiling.
Understanding of distributed systems, networking, and FIX protocol.
Go experience is a bonus; Python for tooling; Git and shell scripting.

Responsibilities

Develop modern C++20 and Go on Linux stack, aligning with open source components.
Build cloud-native infrastructure on AWS with data-centre colocation.
Optimize for microsecond latency and high-throughput messaging.
Design and maintain market-data and reference-data pipelines across assets.
Integrate FIX protocol with global banks and liquidity providers.
Enable observability with dashboards, alerts, and production monitoring.
